Summary
Flores Island in the Lesser Sunda, Indonesia, is one of the most wanted to visit for birding in the region. The island not only provides a richness of endemic birds but also there are amazing landscapes and cultural diversity. This is the 7-day Birding trip to Flores Island, the way you could choose to experience the living creatures of the island. Besides the program, you still possible to add a trip to Komodo National Park to see the living legend Komodo Dragon in its habitat. Birding on the island of Komodo is possible too.

Itinerary
Day 1: From Denpasar – Bali, Arrive at Komodo Airport – Labuan Bajo, picked up by the driver and guide. Driven to the hotel and check-in. After the check, visit wetlands and mangroves south of Labuan Bajo to do birding around here till evening.
Stay overnight at Puri Sari Beach Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Wake up very early in the morning (the hotel will prepare breakfast box) then drive to Puarlolo forest (1 hour) for morning birding here.
In the midday, drive to Lembor. Birding at the rice fields for raptors. Lunch at a local restaurant in Lembor. Afternoon drive to Ruteng. Shortstop before Ruteng to see spider web ricefields.
Stay overnight at Ara Garden Inn.
Day 3: Early morning birding to find Flores scops-Owl. Continue Birding in Ruteng Nature Reserve.
Stay overnight at Ara Garden Inn.
Owling in the evening to find Wallaces Scops-Owl.
Day 4: Early morning drive to Poco Ndeki. Birding here till midday. Lunch at a local restaurant in Aimere. After lunch drive to Bajawa and visit Bena Traditional village. Stay overnight at Manulalu Villa.
Day 5: After breakfast, long drive to Moni. Stop at Panggajawa beach. Lunch in Ende. After lunch drive to Moni. Birding around Moni in the afternoon. Stay overnight at Kelimutu Eco Lodge.
Day 6: Early morning visit Kelimutu Crater Lake (National Park) then birding around the National Park till 10.00 AM. Back to Moni then visit Wolojita village to see the critically endangered species Flores Hawk-Eagle at Otoseso sacred forest. Afternoon drive back to Ende. Stay overnight at Grand Wisata Hotel/Similar.
Day 7: Morning birding around the shore of Ende, then drop to the airport. Fly back to Denpasar – Bali.
